Demaray is currently focused on developing a Solid-state, Lithium Metal battery. If the goals of the battery development program are realized, Demaray’s Solid-state Lithium Metal battery will:
- Provide 2 to 3 times more energy storage per kilogram of weight than current “state of the art” Lithium polymer batteries
- Allow faster charging
- Provide long-term, virtually no-loss energy storage.
- Not require cooling
- Not contain flammable electrolyte materials
Potential product applications would include:
- Electric Vehicles with 3 to 4 times more range per charge
- Electric jet aircraft where the jet fuel is replaced with Solid-state, Lithium Metal batteries and an electric motor would spin the jet engine to fly the plane.
- Long-term energy storage of solar and wind generated electricity.
- High performance batteries for Low Earth Orbit satellites like those that power the Starlink1 internet service.
